**Senior Staff Engineer, Supplier Quality K&B** _Work Mode: Onsite_ **Location: ** Onsite - Kohler, WI **Opportunity** Provide Comprehensive Purchased Products support for Vitreous category (Vitreous /Plastic/ Electronics). Completes engineering/supplier quality assignments by following prescribed procedures. **Specific Responsibilities** + Lead Supplier Quality Engineering activities for Vitreous Product Development and Ongoing Production + Work with the suppliers on corrective action for supplier part/finished goods issues + Lead the cross-functional Print & Process Review for purchased parts + Organizing attendees, defining timelines, understanding of key characteristics and GD&T callouts, expected process control and recording of decisions and agreements. + Conduct PPAP (production part approval process) for purchased components and finished goods + Process flow, PFMEA, MSA, capability studies, dimensional conformance, aesthetic review, performance testing, and control plans + Coordinate requirements for DFM, Sample trials, Process Qualification & Verification Testing + Work with suppliers & expert feedback to mitigate manufacturing risk + Use GD&T & tolerance stack up knowledge to review designs + Establish and implement consistent supplier selection and assessment processes + Onsite quality assessments of potential suppliers, drive recordable improvements based on results, and assist Procurement in determining appropriate suppliers to quote for purchased products + Support and carefully document project work + Identify opportunities for continuous improvement + Utilize production and field data to mitigate production and customer risk + Utilize SPC, Lean and Six Sigma to drive recordable improvements in quality, cost and delivery. + Monitor and communicate supplier response and follow-up activities on any non-conforming products including investigation, sorting, analysis, disposition, deviation, and corrective action. + Travel up to 20-30% of the time, both domestic and international **Skills/Requirements** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET accredited program + At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing quality and/or design engineering + Designing, implementing, and monitoring of the quality management system to ensure sustainable product /component development end-to-end quality. + Experience in defining, monitoring and improve KPI’s at supplier + PPM & NC reduction + Experience with PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Process Qualification & Six Sigma DMAIC tools + Experience with basic and advanced metrology + Demonstrated ability to drive solid engineering solution to complex problems through RCA + Basic manufacturing knowledge + Knowledge of vitreous china product manufacturing is an advantageToilets, lavatories, bath tubs, etc is added advantage + Demonstrated expertise to apply Quality Tools and Six sigma Methodologies + Minitab software usage is an added advantage + Customer complaint handling experience needed with thorough understanding of metrices like UFR & CCU + Experience with 8D corrective actions + Field return parts /products analysis + Understand engineering prints + Experience using Microsoft Office + Experience working remotely \#LI-Onsite **_Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future._** _The salary range for this position is $102,500 - $130,550. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location.
