PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Senior Accountant is responsible for completing day-to-day general ledger activities, impacting accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). This role prepares key journal entries, account reconciliations, and supports the Accounting Manager and Supervisor in special projects/enhancements, financial review, and audit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares monthly journal entries in accordance with US GAAP and internal policies. Prepares monthly and quarterly account reconciliations Researches and analyzes variances to support financial accuracy. Ensures deadlines are met in a timely manner in accordance with the month-end close calendar. Assists in year-end financial audit preparation by gathering documents and preparing schedules. Supports special projects as needed. Participates in system implementations and enhancements. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred. Associates degree in accounting required. CPA preferred.EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 2 years of experience in the accounting/finance profession. Experience in healthcare industry, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Experience in Dynamics 365 ERP a plus. Capable of managing spreadsheets, including updating/creating pivot tables, creating charts, and using advanced formulas. Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to prioritize work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Communicates clearly and concisely.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
Role may be hybrid or remote; US-based preferred High volume of communication and data analysis must be comfortable with multitasking and extended periods of computer work. Operational travel may be required for integration or market support.
