Overview

This position is responsible for all accounting responsibilities related to various disciplines within the accounting department, which would include: Consolidation Accounting, Hotel Accounting, & Internal/External audits.

 

Responsibilities Assist in accounting, financial reporting and controllership functions for assigned hotels and/or entities.Perform monthly analytical reviews of the properties’ financial statements ensuring compliance with US GAAP.Coordinate with investors and lenders on ad hoc requests. Supervise and review the accounting for fixed assets at each of the assigned properties.Assist in managing the disbursement and reconciliation process for large-scale property renovations.Manage intercompany accounting transactions.Perform consolidation of multi-tiered entity structures.Compile financial reporting deliverables for investors and lenders.Review monthly account reconciliations and coordinate with off-shore resources to ensure reconciliations are completed timely. Perform as well as supervise off-shore resources tasked with preparing and posting monthly financial statement close entries and performing reconciliations.Manage payable transactions of the assigned entities.Assist in the accounting and transitions for new property acquisitions. Play an integral part in the successful completion of external financial audits, including report drafting and delivering information requested by auditors on a timely basis.Assist in the establishment, documentation and maintenance of Standard Accounting Policies and Procedures and internal controls for our accounting operations.Identify and make suggestions for improvements of current processes.Other special projects and responsibilities, as assigned.

 

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required2+ years of public accounting experience requiredPrior real estate or hospitality experience preferredCPA, or CPA candidate preferredProficiency with Excel requiredProficient with Oracle accounting systems preferredStrong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently with minimal supervisionA strong desire to develop into a future finance and accounting leader within a dynamic organization
