Description About the Opportunity: Our client, a well-established and growing organization based in Ogden, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This is a key role that will support both the day-to-day accounting functions and more complex financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and has a strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes. This position reports directly to the Controller and offers a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their accounting career with a stable and supportive team. Key Responsibilities: + Assist in preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements + Own portions of the month-end and year-end close processes + Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations + Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data + Support external audit requests and documentation + Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis + Review and refine internal controls and accounting procedures + Partner cross-functionally with other departments to support financial accuracy and compliance + Participate in process improvement initiatives within the accounting function Requirements Requirements: + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field + 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience + Strong understanding of GAAP and general ledger functions + Experience with month-end close and financial reporting + Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) + Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills + Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment + CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus, but not required Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
