Senior Staff Accountant - Woodlawn Heights, MD

Beacon Hill Financial is partnering with a non-profit organization in Woodlawn Heights, MD, to bring on a Senior Staff Accountant. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with at least 3 years of accounting experience and strong analytical skills. The position offers the opportunity to support core accounting operations, tax compliance, and financial reporting in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly cash proofs, operations reports, and rollforwards

Track and capitalize fixed assets; calculate monthly depreciation

Manage accounts receivable and generate aging reports

Handle state sales tax filings and exemption renewals

Perform reconciliations and maintain accuracy in financial records

Assist with dashboard creation, financial analytics, and ad hoc projects

Ensure proper integration across financial systems

Provide responsive support to internal teams and external contacts

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (preferred)

3+ years of accounting experience

Audit experience a plus

Proficiency in Excel; dashboard/reporting skills a plus

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

Familiarity with MS Dynamics Navision is preferred
