Product Manager - Technical

About The Role

•\tProvide technical analysis of product hardware/software to ensure that business and functional requirements can be met
•\tProvide technical support to Business Owners during implementation of new products/services
•\tProvide subject matter expertise for support escalations
•\tPrioritize and identify cross application/system enhancements
•\tDetermine development impacts. Work with developers and users to ensure accuracy of enhancements
•\tLead review sessions of technical requirements
•\tManage defect resolution process

About You

•\tAdvanced skills in analysis and requirement definition
•\tAdvanced knowledge/experience with Software development lifecycle
•\tStrong knowledge of agile development practices (especially Scrum and / or Kanban), methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Rally).
•\tStrong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship, collaborative and organization skills
•\tHigh degree of initiative, self-motivation, and willingness to take on challenging opportunities

Skills That Are a Plus

•\t3+ years of proven success leading highly technical (artificial intelligence, machine learning, or computer vision) products
•\tExtensive hands-on experience with developing technical roadmaps, story outlines, writing user stories, grooming product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast paced, ever changing environment.
•\tSoftware Development experience: Microservices architecture, REST APIs, JavaScript, Node, Java, etc.
•\tFirst-hand experience developing against APIs and being an end-user of Developer-focused solutions.
•\tStrong technical orientation - Familiarity with coding - you don’t need to be a CS major, but you should have a strong quantitative and technical background and be able to navigate your way through the more complex technical requirements.
•\tExcellent communication skills with engineers, designers as well as leadership, both technical and non-technical.
•\tExcellent ability to distill user needs into actionable requirements.
•\tProvide technical expertise and recommendations to address specific business needs.
•\tIdentify and escalate (when needed) risks and issues. Work with the development teams to develop mitigation strategies, communicate the impacts to leadership.
•\tUnderstand that security is a foundational piece of development that requires constant attention.
•\tExperienced in event driven systems (Apache Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ etc.)

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Management Information Systems or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
