About the roleAs ATB's Senior Specialist, reporting to the Director, Product Enablement & Pricing (PE&P), your role involves optimizing profit across the organization by improving how people, data, processes, communications, and technology work together. This position requires strong analytical and technical skills and is key to shaping ATB's financial future through intelligent, data-driven pricing strategies, reflecting ATB Financial's client-first approach and commitment to innovation.
Accountabilities Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis to identify pricing trends, evaluate competitor strategies, and recommend proactive adjustments to ATB's pricing.Analyze and optimize the profitability of loan and deposit products, focusing on net interest margin (NIM) and managing spreads to maximize revenue while maintaining competitiveness.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop comprehensive reporting frameworks to monitor the effectiveness of pricing strategies, identify areas for improvement, and communicate insights to senior leadership.Implement improvements and optimization of pricing tools and systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and support dynamic pricing capabilities.Partner closely with various stakeholders including Product, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure cohesive pricing strategies and effective execution.Ensure all pricing activities adhere to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.Leverage a strong analytics background to extract actionable insights from vast datasets, identifying pricing opportunities, predicting market shifts, and optimizing pricing decisions.Skills, experience & requirements Degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Data Science or Computer Science. Master's preferred.5+ years of progressive experience in financial services, with a strong focus on pricing, revenue management, or quantitative analysis within a banking environment.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives.Self starter with a track record of driving results and influencing stakeholders.Understanding of the Canadian financial services landscape and regulatory environment is an asset.Excellent working knowledge of Google Suite and experience with MS Excel, App Script and TableauStrong research, time management, prioritization and organizational skillsProficiency in data manipulation tools (e.g., SQL) Possess a growth mindset - keeps abreast of the latest changes and solutions and constantly demonstrates eagerness to learnUnderstanding of Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) principles and their application in a financial institution is desirable.Understand the ‘why’, vision, and goals from business partners to interpret and translate customer’s needs, financial trends and recommendations into business cases, strategy documents and requirements.
