Senior Specialist, HR Business Advisor - Planta Ford Irapuato

As an HR Business Advisor, you will be a pivotal partner, dedicated exclusively to our hourly workforce. This role demands a unique blend of strategic thinking to lead labor relations projects and a hands-on, daily presence on the floor to maintain labor stability, proactively identify conflicts, and prevent issues before they escalate. You will be instrumental in building and nurturing strong relationships with union representatives, supporting disciplinary actions, and proposing innovative solutions to improve our labor relations processes.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree (preferred) in Human Resources, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience.

Experience:

Years of progressive HR Experience, with significant focus on Labor Relations, employee relations, and supporting hourly workforcesProven experience working in a unionized environment and a strong track record of building effective union relationships.Demonstrated ability to manage and advise on disciplinary processes for hourly employees.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels, from the shop floor to leadership.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.Ability to balance strategic initiatives with daily operational demands and maintain a visible presence.Knowledge of relevant employment laws (LFT) and collective bargaining principles.

Strategic Labor Relations & Project Leadership: Lead and contribute to strategic projects focused on improving labor relations processes, policies, and practices. Analyze trends and propose solutions to enhance labor stability and overall workforce effectiveness for hourly employees. Partner with leadership to develop and implement proactive labor strategies. Operational Support & Floor Presence: Maintain a consistent daily presence on the production floor to engage with hourly employees, understand their concerns, and proactively identify potential conflicts or issues. Act as a first point of contact for hourly employee inquiries and provide immediate support and guidance. Support and guide leaders through disciplinary actions for hourly employees, ensuring fairness, consistency, and adherence to policies and collective bargaining agreements. Actively build and maintain constructive relationships with union representatives, fostering a collaborative environment. Monitor and address factors impacting labor stability, working to prevent disruptions and promote a harmonious work environment. Employee Relations & Compliance (Hourly Focus): Provide expert advice on a wide range of HR matters specific to hourly employees, including performance management, attendance, and policy interpretation. Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies for the hourly workforce.
