Title and Summary
Senior Specialist, Global Digital MarketingThe mission of the Global Digital Marketing team is to empower marketing teams around the world with cutting-edge digital marketing solutions and strategic innovation. We provide leading MarTech, create innovative digital platforms, offer activation services, and consult on forward-thinking strategies and ideas.The role of senior specialist, Global Digital Marketing (Accessibility) is to set and ensure adoption of digital accessibility best practices across Integrated Marketing & Communication organisation. They will act as the team SME for Accessibility and support innovation sprints for new digital solutions to ensure best in class standards.
The role requires collaboration and confidence in communicating to regional and local marketing teams across the organisation. As well as ensuring our strategies and practices for digital accessibility align with the vision and standards set by Mastercard’s Accessibility Director.
Responsibilities
•\tStay up to date on latest global technical accessibility standards like WCAG.
•\tEducate cross functional partners on accessibility best practices for digital channels, walk them through the gaps and collaborate with them to resolve issues to closure.
•\tReview designs/concepts early in the development process and provide Accessibility feedback.
•\tReview/test a wide range of products, websites, tools, content, prototypes and materials to ensure compliance with legal requirements, Accessibility standards (WCAG) and common assistive technologies.
•\tDocument and communicate results and recommended improvements to drive best practice
•\tHelp setup processes to report accessibility health based on data, feedback and user research.
•\tWork with cross functional partners to develop systems that are impactful for the people we serve.
•\tParticipate in the creation of processes, procedures, and documentation related to accessibility.
•\tContribute to the centralized hub of Accessibility resources enabling learning for all employees.
•\tConduct office hour sessions to provide accessibility guidance to development teams and agencies.
•\tDrive innovation in the Accessibility space to stay cutting-edge and a force for good.
•\tBe an influential voice internal and provided inspiration, training and thought leadership
•\tPrimary point of contact to work with our Global accessibility lead within Mastercard and our accessibility agency partner
•\tDefine authoring standards and guidelines for websites to avoid major accessibility issues
•\tPartner with development team to prioritize issues that’s must be remediated
•\tKeep up to date on accessibility best practices within the indsutry
Qualifications
•\tBS Degree in Computer Science, Psychology, or related field/equivalent experience required.
•\t4+ years of prior work experience in the field of Accessibility.
•\tWorking knowledge of leading Assistive Technologies such as JAWS, NVDA, ZoomText, Dragon, VoiceOver, TalkBack, Bluetooth keyboards etc.
•\tStrong understanding of HTML/CSS and how to build web pages.
•\tWorking knowledge of the fundamentals of JavaScript.
•\tDemonstrated knowledge of Accessibility Standards and Laws, domestic and international – with the ability to apply them to design patterns.
•\tAbility to autonomously conduct research into emerging technologies and trends, standards, and products as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
