KBR is seeking an experienced Senior Space Control Expert to join our Hemisphere team. Work locations include Colorado Springs, CO and/or El Segundo, CA. Qualified applicants will serve as a trusted advisor and expert on space control functions and supporting engineering services required to enable and support the protect and defend mission set for Space Systems Command (SSC). The successful candidate will collaborate and communicate with the Hemisphere leadership team to ensure processes and products are delivered within program schedule and demonstrate depth of knowledge in new and maturing technologies as applied and used in space control system of systems integration.
Critical skillsets for qualified applicants include extensive knowledge in ground segment, command and control (C2) architectures, multi-faceted layers of C2 and respective definitions of those driving mission planning and development of enterprise roadmaps. In addition, candidates should have a deep understanding of identifying risks and gaps within enterprise architectures and developing appropriate mitigation plans for them. Applicants should have knowledge and experience in science and technology opportunities, prototyping, and successful technology transition for these prototypes for inclusion into the space control architecture.
Required:
+ Master of Science degree in related Engineering field and over 10 years of experience.
+ Bachelor’s degree is acceptable if the candidate possesses at least 12 years of experience in this type of position or program.
+ Expertise and experience in highly classified space control components such as ground, space, and C2 systems (concept development, system architecture, build, integration, test, and operations).
+ Expertise in maturing technologies through all TRL levels.
+ Expertise in multiple space control-related technologies, including, but not limited to, optical, electronic support, signal processing, and communications.
+ Experience serving as a team lead, project leader, or program manager on performance-based contracts for the U.S. Government.
+ Experience in identification and management of risks; demonstrated experience working with Air Force/Space Force/DoD customers in an acquisition environment, with space, C2, and/or ground systems.
+ Experience writing and delivering documents and briefings with effective communication skills and style that promote inclusivity of ideas as they pertain to working, interfacing, and leading multi-disciplined team of engineers.
+ Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

+ Experience in DoD or Intelligence Community ( IC) programs space, C2, and ground systems engineering
+ Knowledgeable in Model-Based and/or Software engineering systems best practices
Locations: El Segundo, California; Colorado Springs, Colorado
Basic Compensation:
California: $175,000 - $215,000
Colorado: $165,000 - $200,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s work location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, clearance level, contract affordability and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
