Senior Sourcing Manager

The **Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing,** will lead sourcing strategy and supplier performance initiatives supporting the **Endoscopy Division’s SSS Business Unit** . This role requires both strategic thinking and tactical execution in a highly matrixed global environment. The successful candidate will partner closely with R&D, Operations, Quality, and Finance to drive supplier capabilities, support New Product Development (NPD) programs, and deliver business results through supplier alignment, cost management, and performance optimization.
**What You Will Do:**
**Strategic Sourcing & Portfolio Management**
+ Lead end-to-end sourcing strategy for assigned categories and programs for supporting the SSS BU.
+ Align supplier capabilities to short- and long-term business needs, including cost reduction, innovation and growth initiatives.
+ Partner with divisional finance and operations to support budgeting, cost tracking, and long-range planning.
+ Develop supplier strategies that deliver best-in-class cost, quality, service, and risk performance.
**New Product Development (NPD) Engagement**
+ Serve as the sourcing lead on cross-functional NPD project teams, driving early supplier engagement and development alignment.
+ Support design-for-cost and design-for-manufacturing initiatives by influencing supplier selection and negotiating favorable commercial terms early in the product lifecycle.
+ Ensure sourcing timelines, risk mitigation, and launch readiness are integrated into project plans and achieved.
**Supplier Engagement & Performance**
+ Manage relationships with key suppliers; serve as the escalation point for critical issues impacting supply continuity or performance.
+ Drive supplier performance management processes and continuous improvement programs.
+ Identify and close capability or performance gaps to ensure supplier alignment with business strategy.
**Financial Analysis & Decision Support**
+ Build financial models and business cases to support sourcing recommendations, supplier negotiations, and capital investment decisions.
+ Drive ROI-focused sourcing initiatives that align with divisional growth and profitability objectives.
+ Collaborate with finance and business unit leaders to develop and maintain sourcing-driven financial plans.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration in a Matrixed Environment**
+ Operate effectively within a complex matrix organization, aligning stakeholders across Global Procurement, R&D, Quality, Operations, and Regulatory.
+ Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives and harmonize efforts across geographies and functions.
+ Partner with global colleagues to leverage enterprise agreements and drive consistency in supplier engagement.
**Negotiation & Risk Management**
+ Lead complex contract negotiations and manage escalations with a long-term view of business impact and leverage.
+ Evaluate and communicate sourcing risks; implement mitigation strategies in collaboration with functional teams.
+ Influence internal stakeholders to drive alignment, remove roadblocks, and support strategic sourcing goals.
**What You Need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
+ Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in supply management, strategic sourcing, or supplier development.
+ Strong experience working in or with matrixed global organizations.
+ Proven track record supporting NPD programs and aligning suppliers with innovation pipelines.
+ Familiarity with medical device, healthcare, or other regulated industries strongly preferred.
+ Excellent negotiation, financial analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills.
