Senior Solution Architect

Are you passionate about designing sustainable, strategic technology solutions? Join our Solution Architecture practice at CGI Montreal and play a key role in the digital transformation of the public transit sector.

You will work on high-impact projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, improving the passenger experience, and integrating innovative technologies into complex and mission-critical environments. You'll be at the forefront of initiatives to modernize mobility-related information systems.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design robust, scalable, and business-aligned technology solutions for public transit operations
• Lead multiple projects simultaneously, guide technical teams, and ensure high-quality deliverables
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks, constraints, and interdependencies
• Evaluate and recommend potential technical solutions, including software selection when required
• Ensure smooth integration of new solutions with existing infrastructure (security, performance, compatibility)
• Participate in strategic architectural decision-making and contribute to the client's long-term technology roadmap
• Document architecture models and support development and operations teams throughout the project lifecycle

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in software development (Java or .NET)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in solution architecture
• Strong understanding of complex systems and hybrid technology environments
• Experience in public transit, mobility, or public services is a major asset
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP is an asset)
• Excellent communication skills in both French and English
• Natural leadership, team spirit, and the ability to simplify complex ideas
