We are seeking a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer with a strong foundation in Java and a keen eye for automation and content validation. In this advanced role, you will lead efforts to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and performance of our systems by developing robust testing tools and frameworks. You will collaborate closely with developers and product teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive continuous improvement in our testing methodologies. Your ability to work independently, solve complex technical problems, and influence cross-functional teams will be key to your success.
Roles & ResponsibilitiesAutomation & ToolingDesign and develop automated testing tools and frameworks.
Integrate automated validation into CI/CD pipelines.
Testing & ValidationPerform content validation and functional testing.
Create and maintain test cases using tools like Cucumber.
Collaboration & OnboardingWork alongside developers during onboarding to understand domain-specific checks.
Transition to independent QA responsibilities post ramp-up.
Monitoring & TroubleshootingMonitor system environments using tools like Grafana and AWS CloudWatch.
Investigate root causes of failures and coordinate with developers for resolution.
Support & DocumentationAssist in answering queries related to system behavior and transformations.
Help locate and interpret related tickets and implementation decisions.
Skills & CompetenciesMust-Have SkillsProficiency in Java.
Experience with automated testing frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes.
Basic understanding of Elasticsearch for log analysis.
Nice-to-Have SkillsKnowledge of GraphQL.
Experience with AWS services for log queries and monitoring.
Exposure to Kibana and Grafana for dashboard monitoring.
Understanding of semantic web technologies (RDF, etc.) is a plus.
Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and ramp up quickly.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Clarifying test-scenarios during ticket elaboration.
- Writing E2E test scenarios in a Cucumber-based testing framework maintained by the developers.
- Test data management.
- Supporting the team with answering questions raised by external parties about our transformation logic.
- Supporting ticket triage. Including high level investigation, finding relevant log entries, checking monitoring tools.
- Ensuring that manual and automated tests are properly executed during story or defect testing.
- QA sign-off.
- Release documentation.
- Smoke testing and health check after deployment.
