Team

As part of the Rendering Services team at HERE Technologies, you will work on the design, development, and maintenance of cloud-native services that power map rendering at a global scale. This includes both existing systems and next-generation rendering services. The team is responsible for the rendering services and supporting infrastructure that enable HERE’s industry-leading mapping and visualization solutions, including 2D/3D maps and location-aware user interfaces. Your contributions will support high-performance, scalable, and reliable rendering systems used across automotive, web, and mobile platforms.

Responsibilities

Build cloud-native applications with modern languages and frameworks.Collaborate to translate requirements into technical solutions.Design efficient algorithms for optimal performance, scalability, and cost.Write clean, documented code following best practices.Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality.Troubleshoot complex software issues and stay up-to-date on tech advancements.Work with large-scale data and high-availability services.Tackle diverse technical challenges across multiple products and services.Collaborate with a global tech team comprising product managers, engineers, DevOps, architects, and QA.

Tech Stack: Rust, C++, Pyhton, Grafana, Splunk, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform

NOTE: This is an individual contributor role 

Who are you? Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or equivalent.3+ years of professional software development experience (Rust / C++).Knowledge in algorithms and data structure.Proficiency in programming with Rust, C++, and ideally Python, or JavaScript.Solid understanding of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, GCP,  and their services.Understanding how important it is to write clean, usable, testable code.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Very good communication skills in English both written and spokenWould be a plusExperience with API development and service design.Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, observability).Knowledge of distributed systems and data processing in cloud environments.Understanding of real-time rendering concepts and technologies
