We are looking for an experienced Chromium Security Engineer to identify, analyze, and resolve security vulnerabilities in the Chromium open-source browser engine. The candidate should have strong experience in C++ development, a deep understanding of Chromium internals, and knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability mitigation.
Responsibilities
• Investigate, reproduce, and fix security vulnerabilities in Chromium codebase.
• Review security reports (internal or external, including CVEs), determine root causes and mitigations.
• Perform secure code audits and refactoring.
• Collaborate with the Chromium open-source community and follow established security patching processes.
• Integrate and maintain security-focused tests.
• Monitor upstream Chromium changes for potential regressions or vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to security documentation and internal security standards.
• Document findings, mitigation steps, and assist in secure software design reviews.
QualificationsEducational qualification:
B.E / B.Tech
Experience :
8+ Years
Mandatory/requires Skills :
• Strong proficiency in C++, especially modern C++ used in large codebases.
• In-depth understanding of Chromium internals
• Experience analysing security vulnerabilities
• Familiarity with vulnerability classes and mitigations (CWE, CVE databases, exploit techniques).
• Strong debugging skills.
• Comfortable navigating and contributing to very large, complex codebases.
• Understanding of secure software development practices.
