About the Role As a Senior Software Engineer II, you will design software solutions spanning multiple systems, mentor team members, and collaborate with our users to translate needs into effective solutions. Responsibilities + Collaborate with technical colleagues and cross-functional partners to define requirements and deliver solutions. + Contribute to and review detailed specifications for complex systems and components. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. + Promote and implement best practices in development processes, including code reviews. + Participate in a variety of development environments (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), working flexibly with stakeholders. + Mentor and support early-career engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting growth. + Stay current with emerging technologies and industry developments to support our team’s ongoing learning. + Design and work with complex data models, optimizing for diverse use cases and needs. + Embrace additional responsibilities as part of a dynamic, evolving team. Requirements + Extensive hands-on software engineering experience, with proficiency in multiple development methodologies (such as Agile and Waterfall). + Strong skills in data manipulation and optimization, with experience in data modeling (normalized/dimensional) and various data storage systems. + Expertise in Java 11+, Spring Boot/Rest API, and Angular 12+ (or similar frameworks), with experience in both backend (approx. 60%) and frontend (approx. 40%) development. + Commitment to best practices, including test-driven development and code review. + Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and communicate technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in writing. + Interest in mentoring and supporting the development of others. + We welcome applicants from all educational backgrounds and lived experiences.
