About the Team:

About the role:

As a Senior Software Engineer I you will be an experienced professional and will undertake difficult research, design and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provide direct input to project plans, schedules and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products under the guidance of more senior members of the squad. This position performs software design - typically across multiple components; is developing the skills of mentoring more junior members of the team and works with others to talk to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.

Responsibilities:

Interfacing with other personnel or team members to finalize requirementsLeading, writing, and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexityWorking closely with other Development team members to understand Product Requirements and translate them into Software designsImplementing and guiding others to continuous integration, delivery, and deployment software delivery practicesOperating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholdersCompleting complex bug fixes and resolving technical issues and setting standards for the team to followDeveloping skills to mentor other developers on methodologies, optimization techniques and areas for growth

Requirements:

Have a BS degree in Engineering Computer Science or equivalent experienceHave an excellent knowledge of continuous software delivery including using and developing with applicable toolsetsBe proficient in development languages, including one or more the following: Java, Springboot, Python, C#, .NET, Kafka.Have an excellent understanding of data modelling principles, data manipulation languages, and storage systemsGood knowledge of industry best practices, such as code coverageProficiency of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and test-driven developmentAbility to interface competently with other technical personnel or squad members to finalize requirementsAbility to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system componentsHave the ability to work well with internal and external technology resourcesHave excellent verbal and written communication skills
