We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. This is an exciting opportunity to work on ProQuest, a leading product in our portfolio. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and driving engineering best practices across the team.
 
About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments  

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Design, or related fields, or 3-5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering techniques and methodologiesStrong hands-on experience with Java 11, Spring Boot, and REST APIsProficiency with Angular 14+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSSFamiliarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL), Git, and CI/CD toolsKnowledge and experience in agile software development (e.g. SCRUM)

It would be great if you also had . . .  

Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS).Exposure to microservices architecture.Background in Agile/Scrum environments.

 
What will you be doing in this role? 

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java 11 and Angular 14+.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and enhancements.Lead and participate in code reviews and technical discussions.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in both backend and frontend codebases.Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.Stay up to date with industry trends and propose improvements to architecture and processes.The product you will be developing 

We are building a web platform designed to store information about how PQ/Clarivate can sell access to monograph content and who should be paid royalties when a piece of content is sold. It supports different content sets like e-books, Dissertations, etc. 
 

About the Team
MR3 is a team of 10 people with a QA and development team based between Bangalore and the U.S.
