**Senior Software Engineer (Development Infrastructure Team)**

**Position Summary:**
Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced **Senior Software Engineer** to join our **Development Infrastructure Team** . In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain tools, services, and infrastructure critical to supporting our cutting-edge software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of engineering teams across the organization, ensuring the stability and scalability of cloud-based development environments, helping to resolve complex build and release challenges, and providing guidance on DevOps best practices.
Successful candidates will join a highly skilled team, reporting directly to the Divisional CTO. This is an exciting opportunity to shape foundational infrastructure, influence engineering excellence, and contribute to solutions that impact teams worldwide.
**We will rely on you for the following:**
+ Design, develop, and maintain tools, services, and components to support critical software development workflows.
+ Maintain and enhance cloud-based infrastructure for software compilation, testing, and deployment.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues during the build, test, and release processes.
+ Provide consultation and guidance to engineering teams on DevOps best practices.
+ Write well-tested, maintainable, and well-documented code and APIs, and participate in code reviews.
+ Create and maintain technical documentation and guides for both technical and non-technical colleagues.
+ Mentor and support team members to promote knowledge sharing and skills development.
+ Take ownership of the solutions you design and implement, ensuring high standards of quality and scalability.
**What you bring to the team:**
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field.
+ 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
+ Proficiency in C++, C#, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.
+ Deep understanding of DevOps processes and experience managing software through its entire lifecycle.
+ Strong experience with Git or other distributed version control systems.
+ Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions effectively.
+ Strong communication skills, with the ability to consult and collaborate with global teams.
+ Basic understanding of software security for desktop and cloud applications.
+ Basic knowledge of desktop software distribution and installer creation.
**What would make you stand out:**
+ Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
+ Proficiency in creating installers using WiX Toolset or equivalent solutions.
+ Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL or SQL Server.
+ Experience managing and troubleshooting on Windows, Linux, or macOS environments.

Please note if you are employed full-time, the salary for this position ranges from 4000 EUR gross (before taxes-Lithuania) depending on knowledge and experience.
