**Senior Software Engineer (Development Infrastructure Team)** **Location:** Lithuania (Office/Hybrid/Remote) **Position Summary:** Bentley Systems is seeking an experienced **Senior Software Engineer** to join our **Development Infrastructure Team** . In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain tools, services, and infrastructure critical to supporting our cutting-edge software development lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of engineering teams across the organization, ensuring the stability and scalability of cloud-based development environments, helping to resolve complex build and release challenges, and providing guidance on DevOps best practices. Successful candidates will join a highly skilled team, reporting directly to the Divisional CTO. This is an exciting opportunity to shape foundational infrastructure, influence engineering excellence, and contribute to solutions that impact teams worldwide. **We will rely on you for the following:** + Design, develop, and maintain tools, services, and components to support critical software development workflows. + Maintain and enhance cloud-based infrastructure for software compilation, testing, and deployment. + Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues during the build, test, and release processes. + Provide consultation and guidance to engineering teams on DevOps best practices. + Write well-tested, maintainable, and well-documented code and APIs, and participate in code reviews. + Create and maintain technical documentation and guides for both technical and non-technical colleagues. + Mentor and support team members to promote knowledge sharing and skills development. + Take ownership of the solutions you design and implement, ensuring high standards of quality and scalability. **What you bring to the team:** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or a related field. + 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development. + Proficiency in C++, C#, and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell. + Deep understanding of DevOps processes and experience managing software through its entire lifecycle. + Strong experience with Git or other distributed version control systems. + Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide solutions effectively. + Strong communication skills, with the ability to consult and collaborate with global teams. + Basic understanding of software security for desktop and cloud applications. + Basic knowledge of desktop software distribution and installer creation. **What would make you stand out:** + Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS. + Proficiency in creating installers using WiX Toolset or equivalent solutions. + Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL or SQL Server. + Experience managing and troubleshooting on Windows, Linux, or macOS environments. **What we offer:** + A great Team and culture – please see our Recruitment Video. + The opportunity to work within a global and diverse international team. + A supportive and collaborative environment. + An exciting career as an integral part of a world-leading software company providing solutions for architecture, engineering, and construction. + Training and professional development opportunities (certifications programs, conferences etc.). + Challenging and interesting tasks at work every day, opportunity to work with highly skilled professionals on next generation software. + Making a positive impact on the world by creating future infrastructure. + Work environment that suits concentration as well as teamwork. + Additional annual leave days and extra paid days for different occasions (marriage, moving day, bereavement leave etc.). + Health insurance package and accidents insurance 24/7. + Referral program with bonus starting with 1500 Eur.
