We are seeking an extraordinary Software Engineer to join us in Apple Services Engineering focusing on designing, implementing, and managing new capabilities and tools for Kubernetes across data centers, private compute, and public cloud environments. If this interests your creative and development chops, come join our team! **Description** This is a highly technical, hands-on role within Apple Services Engineering. You'll be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing new capabilities and tools for Kubernetes across both data centers and private compute environments, as well as public cloud services. We're looking for someone with extensive and deep experience in infrastructure and application management, coupled with practical knowledge of Kubernetes, public cloud platforms, software engineering, operations, and automation. You'll be responsible for ensuring the robust and scalable operation of our Kubernetes infrastructure, supporting critical Apple services. A key aspect of this role involves building and managing relationships with a diverse set of internal customers who rely on the platform. Your ability to collaborate effectively will be critical to our collective success. You'll be joining a team of highly skilled, enthusiastic, and passionate engineers working in a leading-edge and constantly evolving space. **Minimum Qualifications** + 5+ YOE of strong Kubernetes knowledge + 5+ YOE of proficiency with various programming languages such as Go or Java and API patterns using REST/gRPC + Experience with developer tooling and containerization. + Experience operating and developing infrastructure and services in public cloud environments + Excellent communications skills, capable of working with cross functional technical and business teams and varying levels of management, in a professional manner. + Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working with open source projects **Pay & Benefits** At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
