Senior Software Engineer

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our Disease Intelligence Authoring (Editorial) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise-grade, scalable applications that combine modern Angular-based user interfaces with powerful Java/Spring Boot back-end services. You will be part of a dynamic team building data-rich dashboards, reporting tools, and interactive visualizations powered by Highcharts, integrated with MySQL/Postgres, RESTful APIs, and AI-driven capabilities. A key focus of this role is contributing to the editorial system, which transforms raw data into curated content for global enterprise consumers through modular workflows and scalable publishing pipelines 

 

About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments   

4+ years of experience in full-stack development of distributed systems. 

2+ years of experience with Angular (14+), ideally Angular 15+. 

Strong proficiency in Java (17+), Spring Boot, and RESTful API development. 

Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SASS, and modern UI tooling (Node.js, npm, webpack). 

Experience with MySQL/Postgres and charting libraries like Highcharts. 

Familiarity with prompt engineering concepts. 

Strong grasp of design patterns and their practical application. 

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (Master’s preferred). 

 

It would be great if you also had 

Prompt engineering is a huge plus 

Exposure to AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor. 

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS. 

Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting. 

Experience in microservices architecture. 

Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. 

  

What will you be doing in this role?  

 

Design and implement scalable features using Angular 15+ and Java 17+. 

Build responsive, intuitive UIs for complex editorial workflows. 

Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot. 

Work on system processes that transform and push raw data to consumers, including real-time preview, auto-tagging, and audit logging. 

Apply proven design patterns to solve complex architectural and coding challenges. 

Collaborate on integrating AI tools like Copilot for auto-summarization, tagging, and prompt-based enhancements. 

Conduct code reviews, write unit/integration tests, and enforce best practices. 

Participate in sprints, retrospectives, and cross-functional discussions.

The solutions are designed to integrate seamlessly with databases (MySQL/Postgres), RESTful APIs, and AI-driven capabilities, delivering a responsive and intuitive user experience for global enterprise customers.  

 

About the Team    

The Disease Intelligence Authoring (Editorial) development team comprises 10+ members of an Agile team comprising front-end and back-end engineers, QA, UX designers, product managers, and DevOps specialists. The team is focused on delivering high-quality editorial and data intelligence solutions, with a strong emphasis on innovation, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.  

This is a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment where you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of features, contribute to system design, and collaborate with talented peers on impactful projects.  

 

Hours of Work   

Full-time permanent role (45 hours/week). Hybrid working model with standard hours from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM IST, with flexibility for global collaboration.
