**Responsibilities**
+ **Software Development:** Write efficient software to manipulate data for machine learning and analysis.
+ **Automation:** Automate processing for recurring tasks to improve efficiency.
+ **Environment Management:** Create and maintain containers and virtualization environments for prototype development and testing.
+ **Analytics Pipeline Support:** Improve and troubleshoot the engineering design of our analytics pipeline, including predictive analytics, feature engineering, and data cleaning.
+ **Solution Design:** Design and implement software solutions to address existing engineering challenges.
+ **Machine Learning:** Develop machine learning models through all phases—from design and training to evaluation, validation, and implementation.
+ **Stakeholder Communication:** Use your interpersonal skills to translate complex technical work into tangible results for our customer.
**Qualifications**
**Required:**
+ **Experience:** 12 years in software development with a B.S. degree, or 14-16 years of experience without a degree.
+ **Specialized Experience:** 6-12 years of data science and/or software engineering experience (Python, Scripting, Virtualization, storage and compute platforms, etc.).
+ **Security Clearance:** Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
+ **Python Expertise:** At least 2 years of recent experience developing in Python.
+ **Version Control:** Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.
+ **Project Management:** Utilize project tracking tools like Jira.
+ **Documentation:** Document architecture in Confluence.
**Desired:**
+ **Pandas Experience:** Experience with systems/tools such as Pandas (Python package).
+ **Scripting Languages:** Experience with scripting languages like bash, Python, or Perl.
+ **Communication Skills:** Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
+ **Proactive Mindset:** Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently while contributing to team goals.

**Pay Range** : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$120,800 - $265,800
