CTG is seeking to fill a Senior Software Engineer position for our client in Rochester, MN. Location: Remote Duties: Design and build back-end services that support a portfolio of data-centric clinical and analytic applications. Ensure cloud-based micro-services adhere to uptime and accuracy targets, are resilient, and scale as data volumes and traffic increase. Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Architects to translate requirements into code. Develop services around data warehousing, big data, cloud computing, business intelligence, analytics, and machine learning. Participate in DevOps, Agile, continuous development, and integration frameworks. Program in high-level languages such as Go, Python, Java, etc. Create and maintain documentation of processes and source code. Communicate effectively with peers, leaders, and customers throughout the organization. Perform expert-level troubleshooting and resolve problems through root cause analysis, data, and system investigation. Contribute to design and architecture discussions with Principals and Architects. Lead cross-functional improvement efforts and mentor junior software engineers. Solve complex problems and take new perspectives on existing solutions. Work independently with minimal guidance, possibly leading projects or having accountability for ongoing objectives. Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Provide on-demand incident resolution and support maintenance requirements. Manage system upgrades, security modifications, and environment updates to ensure optimal system performance. Implement minor enhancements and issue fixes as approved through the intake process. Skills: Proficient with ServiceNow and Microsoft SharePoint. Skilled in developing using React, C#, JavaScript, and strong understanding of Java. Proficient in vended solution installation, upgrades, and configuration. Skilled in developing user-friendly interfaces and understanding the full development lifecycle. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze incidents, resolve them effectively, and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence. Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud-based services. Experience writing software for cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure). Experience in databases, analytics, big data systems, or business intelligence products. Experience building high-performance, highly available, and scalable distributed systems. Familiar with Agile software development practices. Experience: 5 years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field; OR 7 years of experience with an Associate’s degree in a related field. In-depth knowledge of software engineering with experience coding applications or services in high-level languages (C, C++, Golang, Java, C#, etc.). Experience with modern application development frameworks. Demonstrated problem-solving and time management skills. Proven ability to design and implement software solutions for incident resolution and maintenance. Experience in healthcare technology is preferred. Education: Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field with 5 years of experience; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field with 7 years of experience. Preferred: Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
