THE TEAM
You will be working as part of a cross functional platform team to deliver infrastructure, platform and database services for the Sports ticketing product(s) in our Global markets. partnering with product and software engineering teams to ensure alignment on achieving business goals for the Global Sports product suite.
THE JOB
Ticketmaster Sport is part of Live Nation Entertainment which is the world’s leading live entertainment company comprised of global market leaders: Ticketmaster, Live Nation Concerts, LN Media and Artist Nation Management.
The role is based on the Archtics Engineering Operations team on the TM Global Sports Platform Engineering Services Team. Archtics is the primary ticketing software used by professional sporting leagues (NFL, NBA, NHL, NBA) Major college athletics, Casinos, theatres and music venues.
You will receive comprehensive training and support to grow into a Systems operations professional while gaining hands-on experience in On-Premise Virtualized and Cloud Environments. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, maintenance, and scaling of our complex database systems, with a particular focus on Observability. This position requires technical excellence, excellent communication skills, client support and a customer-focused mindset. Because our business is online 24/7, you will be required to work out of hours and provide on-call duty on a rota basis.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
+ Advanced Triage and support in the daily operations for Archtics Ticketing platform part of the Ticketmaster Core systems of monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure highly available systems and performance.
+ Daily On-Call Support: Participate in on-call rotations, where you will learn to respond promptly to critical incidents, alerts and working closely with the incident response team to resolve issues efficiently.
+ Support the current Windows & Linux platform.
+ Collaborate with product engineering to bring new components and features to production.
+ Automate tasks deployments, tests. creating infrastructure as code.
+ Design and implement resilient, highly available systems.
+ Plan, organize and communicate project status.
+ Continuously improve systems, security and drive new standards meeting PCI requirements.
+ Troubleshoot issues looking at every level of the technology stack.
+ Infrastructure auditing (looking at current system gaps and maintain a backlog of improvements).
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)
+ Good experience using public cloud (AWS).
+ Working Knowledge of Virtualized experience (Hyper-V, Vmware)
+ Good experience scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python…).
+ Good knowledge of configuration management (Ansible, Chef, Octopus…).
+ Experience of configuring Windows and Linux Servers.
+ Good knowledge of managing Active Directory.
+ Good experience with Network Storage (NetApp, Amazon S3).
+ Good experience provisioning with Terraform or CloudFormation.
+ Experience with data store and secrets management tools such as Vault and Consul.
+ Good experience working with APIs
