The Azure Networking team builds the software systems that power Microsoft’s global cloud infrastructure. Our services operate at extraordinary scale—supporting millions of network devices across datacenters worldwide—and are foundational to the performance and reliability of Microsoft’s cloud and AI platforms. As a member of this team, you’ll develop large-scale, distributed services that drive automation, insight, and operational excellence across the network. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale the telemetry backbone that powers Microsoft’s global network infrastructure. This role is central to how we observe, understand, and optimize our network—spanning millions of devices and supporting everything from Azure to AI workloads.

You will design, develop, and operate distributed systems that gather and process massive volumes of telemetry from network devices. These systems must handle diverse data sources and communication patterns, all unified by one challenge: scale.
