Job Description
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. The role involves developing high-quality software solutions for warehouse control systems and other material handling applications. ResponsibilitiesParticipate in development meetings and code reviews.Design, develop, and test high-quality software solutions for warehouse control systems (WCS) and other material handling applications.Implement features, enhancements, and integrations based on customer and internal requirements.Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.Assist in the creation of project specifications and design parameters.Develop and support custom modules and interfaces with project teams.Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues during implementation.Review code, designs, and test plans for quality and consistency.Travel to site to support software project engineers if required.Ensure future development supports existing systems with an upgrade path if needed.Provide Tier II support during working hours and potentially after hours.Receive feedback for software enhancements to improve system support.Identify opportunities to optimize software performance and enhance scalability.Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.Contribute to the development of internal frameworks and reusable components.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred.5+ years of experience in a software engineering environment.Experience in managing and supporting software development life cycles.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.Proficiency in C# and SQL.Understanding of warehouse workflows and integrations.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in other object-oriented languages such as C++.Knowledge of interface methodologies and data formats like sockets, RESTful, SOAP, XML, JSON, and EDI.Experience in configuring and troubleshooting IT issues with servers, workstations, and printers.Willingness to travel up to 33% of the time.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
