Job Title:  Senior Software Engineer 

Position Overview: 

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer. You will be a part of a growing, innovative team and will work closely with the development and product management teams innovating to enhance our existing software and develop new products.  As a key member of our engineering team, you will drive technical excellence, mentor junior engineers, and shape the future of our technology stack.  This is a hybrid role that requires the successful candidate to be at the Lisbon office 2 to 3 days/week.

What you will do: 

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of complex software solutions using .NET technologies, including C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core. 

- Define and implement cloud-native architectures on the Azure Cloud Platform, leveraging services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Storage, and Azure DevOps. 

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams, driving best practices for security, performance, scalability, and reliability. 

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and drive alignment on architectural decisions. 

- Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and innovation within the team. 

- Conduct code reviews, perform architecture reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. 

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software engineering, cloud computing, and related fields. 

What you will need: 

- 8+ years of experience in software development using .NET technologies, with a strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core. 

- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications on the Azure Cloud Platform. 

- Proven track record of architecting and delivering scalable, reliable, and secure software solutions in complex environments. 

- Deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, as well as expertise in Azure services and capabilities. 

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor team members to achieve excellence. 

- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset for identifying and addressing technical challenges. 

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization. 

- 8-12 years of professional experience 

- Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
