In this role you will:

Haptics Software Development

Design, develop, and optimize haptics algorithms and frameworks for Logitech devices.

Create seamless and immersive haptic responses tailored to user experiences in gaming and other interactive digital environments.

Gaming Integration

Develop software interfaces connecting haptic feedback systems to gaming platforms and engines, ensuring high-performance, low-latency communication.

Collaborate with game developers to test and validate haptic implementations across diverse platforms.

Collaboration & Cross-functional Work

Work closely with industrial designers, firmware developers, and mechanical engineers in the Mechatronics team to ensure a cohesive vision.

Contribute to interdisciplinary prototyping sessions to push the boundaries of Human Interface Devices.

Testing and Debugging

Design and execute test plans to validate the robustness and functionality of haptics solutions.

Optimize performance, addressing latency, precision, and power consumption constraints.

Research and Innovation

Stay updated on the latest trends in haptics technology and translate insights into innovative product solutions.

Lead or participate in exploratory projects to improve or expand the use of haptics technology.

Key Qualifications:
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

Must-Have Technical Skills

Proven experience in haptics software development, sensory feedback systems, or related fields.

Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C, and/or Python.

In-depth knowledge of real-time software development principles and low-latency communication.

Practical experience with game development platforms like Unity or Unreal Engine, including relevant haptic integration experience.

Preferred Technical Skills

Understanding of hardware-software interaction in embedded systems.

Experience with force-feedback devices, motors, or similar mechatronics systems.

Familiarity with APIs and communication protocols such as USB HID, I2C, or UART.

Knowledge of digital signal processing and tactile perception concepts.

Soft Skills

Willingness to work in a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team.

Creative mindset with the ability to translate user needs into technical solutions.

Strong communication and documentation skills in English (French proficiency is a plus).

Resilient problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement.
