The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), excellent programming abilities (preferably Python), and a solid understanding of database concepts. Exceptional communication and articulation skills are a must to succeed in our dynamic, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: Design, prototype, and develop cloud-native applications and services using Azure or AWS Analyze, architect, and optimize database systems for performance and scalability Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to explore emerging technologies and bring innovation to product development Write high-quality, well-documented code using modern software engineering best practices Present technical concepts clearly to stakeholders through verbal and written communication Conduct performance benchmarking, testing, and validation of R&D deliverables Stay updated with the latest advancements in cloud computing and database ecosystems Open-source contributions or published research papers Preferred Skills: + Experience with containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes) + Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines + Exposure to Machine Learning or AI-based projects Requirements: + Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field + 5–7 years of experience in software development or R&D roles + Strong proficiency in Python (or any equivalent programming language) + Sound understanding of relational and non-relational databases + Proven hands-on experience with either Azure or AWS native services + Ability to articulate complex technical ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences + Strong problem-solving mindset and research-oriented approach Zelis is modernizing the healthcare financial experience across payers, providers, and healthcare consumers.
