Role Overview:

Senior Software Engineer to join our growing Software community to develop cutting edge embedded software in Combat Air Electronic Warfare domain

Job Responsibilities:

Develop embedded software, using RTOSs such as VxWorks or embedded LinuxDeploy software to multi-core or distributed hardware platformsWork alongside firmware and hardware engineers to develop working embedded solutionsUse C++14 & above and other scripting languagesWork to airborne software design standard RTCA 178C and coding standards such as MISRA C/C++

Location: Full time onsite Edinburgh

Work Experience

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Full software lifecycle including: Requirements Management, Design, Implementation, Test and IntegrationUML and C++14 & aboveOOD (Object Oriented Design) techniquesWorking and delivering software using agile techniques such as Scrum, and tooling such as Azure Dev Ops, Jira / Confluence / Bitbucket / GitlabExperience of RTCA 178C DAL C Design Assurance or similar.

Demonstrable experience in the following areas will help you stand out:

Matlab Simulink, Cameo, DOORS, Dimensions or similar tools

Qualifications

Honours degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering or another STEM-based subjectUK citizenship is mandatory to be able to clear the background checks and obtain SC clearance
