Senior Software Engineer

Sr. Software Development Engineers are experienced professionals that design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions. They have in-depth knowledge and subject matter expertise in software development. Sr. Software Development Engineers interact with internal and external teams to train them on the products, work on projects independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. In this role, you will mentor and guide others by reviewing the code of more junior software engineers as well as encourage others to grow their technical skillset. Sr. Software Development Engineers are creative problem solvers and are involved in continuously driving improvements across the software development life cycle as well as ensure best practices are utilized.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing product enhancements, design of product functions, troubleshooting and resolving product defects, unit and integration testing. Active interaction with internal customers, other developers, Quality Assurance, Business System Analysts is an integral part of the role.Participate in project/work planning sessions to analyze and understand requirements to the level of being able to contribute to their creation, in collaboration with capability/product and/or business owners.Develop and integrate applications per specification and translate technical requirements into application code and modulesApproach development work with a DevOps and continuous integration mindset.Ensure consistency with cloud architectural guiding principles for assigned projectsDevelop prototype or "proof of concept" implementations of projects where the technical solution is unknown or unprovenProactive in raising problems, identifying solutions and giving/receiving feedbackAssist in identifying and correcting software performance bottlenecksWork in a highly collaborative and dynamic agile team environment with multiple levels of technology staff across various geographical locations.

About you:

You're a fit for the role of Senior Software Engineer if your background includes:

Candidate should have experience Java, Spring framework, REST services.preferred skills Front-end development in Angular.

5+ years of professional experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting products in an enterprise or SaaS environment.

Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent work experience.Minimum 5 years of strong experience in Java, spring framework, object-oriented design methodologies.Working in a hands-on development capacity.Strong problem-solving skills.Self-motivated, independent.      Working knowledge and understanding of relational databases like Oracle, Postgres or similar.Minimum 2 years of experience developing RESTful Service using Spring boot framework or similar built using microservice based architecture.Hands-on experience of building cloud native applications for one or more cloud provider e.g., AWS, Google Cloud.Experience working in an Agile framework environment.Experience on Front-end such as Angular would be a value-add.Proven strong analytical design and trouble-shooting skillsHighly accountable for meeting all commitments and deadlinesEffective communication skills, both written and verbal for technical and non-technical audiencesMust be able to work independently as well as collaborativelyDrive for continuous process improvement.
