About the role
We are going through and exciting period of change and are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Engineer (Backend) to join our Software Engineering team. You will work as part of our exciting greenfield tech hub covering all facets of technology.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work closely with your cross functional team to design and implement new features and products, whilst bringing ideas, energy, and leadership to the table.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust, high-quality software solutions.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver valuable features.Participate in code, design, and test reviews to ensure code quality and maintainability.Apply DevOps practices for continuous integration, testing, and deployment.Integrate applications with monitoring and support tools to ensure reliability.Support teammates through mentoring and sharing technical knowledge.Contribute to Agile team processes, helping to improve ways of working.Use data-driven methods to test assumptions and iterate on product features.Provide and receive constructive feedback to continuously raise software standards.Troubleshoot issues across the development lifecycle and support ongoing improvements.Explore and recommend new technologies to enhance team capabilities. Skills and Experience
Strong professional experience with Java and Spring FrameworkSolid understanding of RESTful API design and microservices architectureExperience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL)Familiarity with Docker, KubernetesFamiliarity with CI/CD tools and pipelinesUnderstanding of software engineering best practices (version control, unit/integration testing)Excellent problem-solving and communication skillsExperience working within an Agile/Scrum teamAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team settingExcellent command of English (written and spoken)
