Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. + 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms. + 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. + Experience with C++. Preferred qualifications: + Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. + 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role. + Experience developing accessible technologies. + Experience with large-scale distributed systems, network architecture, software-defined networking, networking protocols, and network management systems. GNE team owns the entire lifecycle of new products and technologies being introduced into Google Global Network's (GGN) edge domain, conceptualizing, prototyping, developing, automation and testing, executing the pilot, rolling out to the network, making it generally available, supporting the network/design in its deployed state, and eventually deprecating it. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running.
