Description We are seeking a versatile Senior Software Engineer to join our team developing new-to-world products. In this role, you will conceive and develop key software architectures from early prototyping through mass production. This position requires an adaptable engineer who can work effectively across multiple technology stacks and various layers of device functionality—from low-level embedded systems to application interfaces. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team Preferred Qualifications - Strong proficiency in lower-level languages such as C/C+- Experience with Python and other scripting languages - Experience with embedded software development and hardware integration - Proven ability to work across different technology stacks and programming paradigms - Track record of successful rapid prototyping and bringing products from concept to market - Understanding of software/hardware interfaces and constraints - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams - Demonstrated ownership mentality and history of driving projects to completion Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market.
