Software ensures secure, efficient, and available recursive DNS edge services using a distributed, data-focused policy engine. **Be part of developing wide-reaching solutions** As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test. you will work with an experienced engineering team to design. develop and maintain mission critical software for Akamai's cloud-based recursive name resolution and security products. You will apply your knowledge and talents to create innovative solutions for our customers. As a Software Development Engineer in Test Senior, you will be responsible for: + Developing comprehensive test plans based on product/solution requirements + Performing tests on a large-scale distributed test network to validate new and existing features + Maintaining, enhancing, and developing test automation + Benchmarking server metrics to ensure quality and high performance + Investigating and analysing root causes of technical issues and performance bottlenecks + Reviewing business needs, requirements, and technical specifications + Analysing key performance metrics and developing thorough test reports **Do what you love** To be successful in this role you will: + Have 8 y+ of relevant experience in computer science or equivalent technical field + Have a working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and test automation + Have an understanding of network routing concepts and protocols such as DNS, HTTP/S, TLS, TCP and UDP + Have experience in software development using object-oriented scripting languages like Python and automation tools like Ansible + Demonstrate attention to detail and problem solving/troubleshooting skills + Have testing experience with REST APIs and Graphical User Interfaces + Be experienced in working with Linux/Unix-like operating systems **Build your career at Akamai** Our ability to shape digital life today relies on developing exceptional people like you.
