Responsibilities As a Senior Software Developer (Applications) with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following:Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.Contribute to the performance and success of warfighters for a program focused on Distance Learning (DL).Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.Develop specifications and performance requirements.Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems.Maintain databases within an application area while working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.Research, test, build, and integrate new products and major enhancements. Qualifications Active Secret ClearanceU.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearanceBS/BA degree and 10 years experienceAt least 2 years of the experience must be in developing systems code using C++, C#, Java, and JavaScript.At least 5 years of the experience must be in development on agile projects consisting of at least 2 teams of 5 people.At least 5 years of the experience must be related to leading software systems which supports enterprise-level efforts.Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) from ISC2.Expertise in designing, maintaining, and improving enterprise computing applications.Familiarity with industry compliance and security standards.Experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives.Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Pay Transparency Statement AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $155,700.00/Yr. - USD $260,000.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
