Software Developer, Back End Web Service Modernization

Position Overview

At Autodesk, we are revolutionizing how people design and make, empowering them to imagine, design, and make a better world. We have built the leading design and make Platform as a Service called Autodesk Platform Services used by Autodesk, our customers and industry partners. We are preparing the platform for another wave of hypergrowth.

Autodesk's Developer Ecosystem team is seeking a motivated, experienced, and skilled engineer to join our team of talented and driven developers responsible for building and modernizing Autodesk Platform Services to reach its true potential as the leading Design and Make platform.

Responsibilities

Design, code, test, debug, and document new and existing components to ensure that software meets business, quality, and operational needs  Build high-quality code following unit testing and test-driven development  Drive and participate in code and document reviews, mentoring the team in best practices  Collaborate with peer organizations, dev ops, and support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance  Interpret and translate business needs into technical requirements and accurate estimates  Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achieved  Work with the team to troubleshoot code-level problems quickly and efficientlyApply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems  Focus on scalability, security, and availability of all applications and processes  

Minimum Qualifications

BS in computer science or related technical field (MS in Computer Science or a related degree is preferred)Over 4 years of professional experience developing scalable, distributed applicationsExperience designing and building RESTful APIs using Microservices architectureStrong experience with building cloud-based API platforms or backend systemsBroad knowledge of AWS, Azure, databases, and cloud architecturesStrong experience and understanding of working on Agile processes like SCRUMRecent hands-on experience developing C# based .Net applicationsExperience in programming languages like Java, JavaScript, and React JSExperience working with remote teams and other cross-functional stakeholdersGood self-management skills and the ability to track and prioritize multiple tasks coming in simultaneouslyExperience modernizing legacy cloud services

Salary transparency / Transparence salariale

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Pour les postes basés au Canada (Colombie-Britannique), nous proposons un salaire de base compris entre X et X dollars.
