Job Description

This position is based in Vancouver, BC, and the candidate must reside in the Greater Vancouver area, as you will be required to go into the office on a hybrid work schedule.

What You'll Do:

Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance AI software solutions using Golang and C++, with a focus on creating robust and scalable systemsDive deep into Linux-based environments, leveraging your expertise in operating system fundamentals (processes, threads, mutexes) to optimize our applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and research, to translate complex requirements into elegant, production-ready codeMentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, and knowledge sharingChampion best practices in software development, including comprehensive testing, rigorous code reviews, and thorough documentationDrive the continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable delivery of our softwareApply your knowledge of video codecs, machine learning, and computer vision to build innovative features for our on-premise AI platformThrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a passion for continuous learning and the ability to quickly master new technologies

What You'll Bring:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field4+ years of professional experience in software development, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality solutionsExpertise in modern C++ and Golang, with a strong understanding of their respective ecosystemsProficiency in Python and JavaScriptA solid grasp of operating system concepts and networking protocols in a Linux environmentHands-on experience with audio/video codecs and media or metadata pipelinesA strong foundation in machine learning and computer vision conceptsExcellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas to a diverse audienceA self-driven and proactive mindset, with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new challenges

Bonus Points:

Familiarity with containerization technologies such as DockerExperience with IoT (Internet of Things) devices and protocolsKnowledge of GPU acceleration with CUDA and TensorRTExperience with AI/machine learning technologies is strongly preferred

Target Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 CAD

Consistent with Motorola Solutions' values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
