Senior ServiceNow Developer

We are seeking a **Senior ServiceNow Developer** to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in ServiceNow development with a strong focus on **IT Service Management (ITSM)** and **IT Operations Management (ITOM)** modules. This role will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing scalable and efficient solutions that drive IT operations, automation, and service delivery across the enterprise.
**Key Responsibilities**
+ Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow solutions primarily within ITSM and ITOM (Discovery, CMDB, Event Management, Service Mapping, etc.)
+ Customize and configure ServiceNow applications and modules to meet business and customer requirements using scripting (JavaScript, Glide), workflows, Business Rules, UI Policies, and IntegrationHub.
+ Lead or contribute to platform upgrades, patching, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
+ Develop and maintain integrations with third-party systems (e.g., monitoring tools, CMDB data sources) using REST, SOAP, MID Servers, and other protocols.
+ Collaborate closely with ServiceNow architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions.
+ Maintain strong documentation and participate in code reviews and platform governance practices.
+ Proactively identify platform optimization and automation opportunities within ITSM/ITOM processes.
+ Provide advanced troubleshooting, support, and guidance on best practices for ServiceNow development and architecture.
**Required Qualifications**
+ **5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience** , with a clear track record in delivering robust ITSM and ITOM solutions.
+ Expertise in ServiceNow ITSM modules: Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Service Catalog, Knowledge, SLAs, etc.
+ Strong experience with ITOM components: Discovery, CMDB, Event Management, Service Mapping, and Orchestration.
+ Proficiency in JavaScript, REST/SOAP APIs, and ServiceNow scripting (Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, etc.)
+ Hands-on experience with Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and MID Server architecture.
+ ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) required; additional certifications such as ITSM, ITOM, or Application Developer are a plus.
+ Strong understanding of ITIL best practices.
+ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
+ Hands-on experience with NowAssist
**Preferred Skills**
+ Demonstrated success with CMDB automation
+ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
+ Experience working in large enterprise environments.
+ Exposure to Security Operations, GRC, or Performance Analytics is a plus, but not required.
+ Minimal or no focus required on HRSD; candidates with HRSD-only experience may not be a fit for this role.
+ ITIL Foundations Certification
