This Position reports to:

The Electrical Technician provides technical leadership to meet the customer's electrical power distribution needs. The ideal candidate has solid technical experience, is capable of performing electrotechnical work with a high level of compliance in terms of safety and environmental standards, understands business profitability, and can build strong relationships with clients.

Your Role: Take on the Challenge

This dynamic role requires strong hands-on knowledge of electrical distribution equipment, both electrical and mechanical technical skills, leadership, business acumen, and effective communication abilities.

Performing electrical testing, preventive maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, modernization, and installation of medium and low voltage power electrical equipment such as circuit breakers, switchgear cabinets, protection and control devices, etc.Planning and executing work on time and within budget while maintaining world-class quality and safety standards.Communicating with clients to present ABB’s capabilities and expand service opportunities. Working closely with the sales team to maintain, develop, and grow the customer base.

What it takes to run what runs the world 

Electrical technician/technologist with at least five years of relevant experience.Knowledge of electrical safety procedures and practices.Strong mechanical skills and hands-on capabilities.Ability to understand written instructions and procedures as well as electrical drawings, and capable of writing or drawing them. Well organized.Familiarity with testing equipment and procedures for electrical distribution systems.Knowledge of computers and common software (Office Suite).Excellent command of French and English (written and spoken). French is required. English is also required to regularly communicate with clients outside Quebec.Ability and willingness to travel within the territory, work overtime, weekends, and respond to service calls outside normal hours when needed.Proactive and autonomous individual capable of quickly advancing tasks and taking responsibility for results.Excellent team player.Ability to establish good communication and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members.Safety and customer-focused, using practical experience and knowledge of electrical distribution systems to help develop and recommend solutions for customer issues or system upgrades.
