Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Server/Storage Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize our enterprise storage and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAN/NAS systems, virtualization platforms, Windows/Linux servers, and backup solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our data centre operations. Key Responsibilities: + Design, deploy, and manage enterprise storage systems (SAN, NAS, DAS). + Administer physical and virtual servers (VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux). + Monitor system performance and troubleshoot hardware/software issues. + Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions. + Perform capacity planning and storage provisioning. + Apply patches, updates, and firmware upgrades to servers and storage devices. + Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to support business needs. + Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and policies. + Ensure compliance with IT security standards and data protection regulations. + Handling US hours for better support. Required Qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. + 5-8 years of experience in storage and server administration. + Strong knowledge of storage technologies (Pure, Dell EMC, HPE, etc.). + Proficiency in virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V). + Experience with Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu). + Familiarity with backup tools (Veeam, Commvault, Veritas, etc.). + Understanding of RAID, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and NFS/CIFS protocols. + Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) are a plus. Preferred Certifications: + VMware Certified Professional (VCP) + Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate + NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) + CompTIA Server+ or equivalent Soft Skills: + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and documentation abilities. + Ability to work independently and in a team environment. + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
