As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be a core part of our Security Operations Centre (SOC) team. You will be responsible for deploying, configuring and troubleshooting key Microsoft Security and Google SecOps technologies in client environments to detect, prevent, and respond to security incidents. As a subject matter expert in the Microsoft security stack, you will assist internal SOC teams with engineering queries and technical escalations, as well as building and maintaining relationships with clients.

YOUR ROLE

Working from our Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra or Brisbane, your role will include:

Provide expertise in Microsoft Sentinel, Google SecOps and Defender technologies to internal and external stakeholdersPerform maintenance of Tesserent deployed technologies within client environmentsAssist with the triage, response and escalation of client and internal engineering ticketsTake ownership of projects to ensure they are completed to a high standard and in a timely mannerWork collaboratively with other members of the SOC team to continually improve our security monitoring and response capabilitiesCreate, follow, and maintain internal SOC documentationContinually update skills and knowledge relative to the ever-changing threat landscape

YOUR EXPERIENCE

To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a Microsoft security engineering or related role, with a focus on core security technologiesStrong experience with Microsoft Sentinel and DefenderIn-depth knowledge and experience with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, and EDRIn-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, methodologies, and technologiesRelevant Microsoft certifications (i.e., SC-200, MS-500 and AZ-500)Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiencesDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharingStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work under pressureExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and identify patterns and trendsExperience working in a Security Operations Centre is an advantage
