WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
RBC is seeking to hire Senior SDET Quality Engineering You will be responsible for effective planning, executing and tracking functional tests for WMTS Canada. Your objective is to ensure the QE processes are well defined, executed and continually monitored. Working with different project teams to ensure functional/regression test suite is up to date and remains relevant. You will be accountable for driving quality and champion defect prevention/early defect detection and maximizing test coverage.
Provide support to QE Lead/Manager on estimation and work allocation for the team acting as a release lead in full capacity.
Support the stakeholders in achieving their strategic goals for the product/project team by providing technical/QE support.
Provide recommendations and contribute to test strategy & technical solutions in area of expertise, including leading QE work streams.
Effectively communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders and business partners using a variety of techniques and collaboration from initiation to close.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Automate assigned areas/feature using existing Framework and provide the test estimations.
Responsible for designing the effective test cases using Model based approach and test design techniques.
Responsible for overall quality of testing deliverables/activities
Prepare daily/weekly status and milestone reports on projects under test deliverables.
Create and review Test Plan/Execution document, Test Suite, Traceability matrix etc. and walkthrough with different teams, plan and coordinate defect triage.
Support the implementation of the QE Program and overall QE process and standards through continuous test execution and reporting.
Leverages the existing automation frameworks, tools and artefacts to ensure testing process is continuous, comprehensive and fully autonomous.
Lead independent releases including integration testing and bring up risks to QE Lead/Manager in a timely fashion and prepare for contingency.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must have:
· Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a QA/test environment with a focus on technical, automated testing in a variety of environments (cloud, distributed and mainframe, business workflows and services/APIs, databases).
Good knowledge of Testing Life Cycle, SDLC and Defect Management processes for application support and development.
Expert level knowledge with QE Processes, Methodologies and Test Design techniques with hands on experience on ALM, JIRA and Confluence.
Experience in a variety of test automation frameworks/tools e.g., (Selenium, UFT/Lean UFT/RestAssured/Robot Framework, TestNG, Cucumber, SoapUI) and script development using scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python, C# etc.)
Strong problem solving, design, and analytical skills and out of the box thinking coming up with creative solutions on testing approach in critical timelines.
Expert knowledge of industry practices with focus on Agile, DevOps, environments and test integration.
Hands-on experience in developing testing strategies, executing manual/automated test cases and reporting to senior management for complex multi-application system integrations.
Excellent communication skills and effective negotiation skills.
Nice-to-have:
QA related certification. E.g. ISTQB, Agile testing, Mobile Testing, Database testing etc.
Experience in Model based testing and tools such as ConformIQ, Hexawise etc.
Experience in Salesforce testing and CRM process
Computer Engineering, Computer Science, related (technical) degree/diploma or equivalent experience
