Join our high-impact Point of Sale (POS) Engineering team, where we build and maintain the critical systems that power day-to-day operations and customer transactions across restaurants, retail, and service industries. We’re seeking a Senior SDET QA Engineer to lead automation efforts across a complex, multi-module ecosystem and ensure the quality of every release. What you will do:
Lead quality efforts across our complex POS ecosystem, making sure our products work flawlessly on real-world devices in fast-paced retail and restaurant environments.Design and execute both manual and automated tests—including API, web, and device-level testing, using tools like Appium, Espresso, UI Automator, Karate, and Cypress.Build and maintain automation frameworks for on-device testing, ensuring our software performs reliably across multiple hardware configurations.Join Agile team conversations early to shape user stories, define acceptance criteria, and build test strategies that keep quality at the forefront.Be the voice of the customer—spot usability issues, advocate for better design, and help us deliver experiences that just work.Dive into bugs with a curious, methodical mindset—debugging across layers to find root causes and ensure we fix issues, not just symptoms.Own the test environments from setup to teardown—especially for device automation—so we can test faster, smarter, and with confidence.Partner closely with engineers, product managers, and fellow QA teammates to continuously evolve our test coverage, practices, and tooling.What you will need to have:
Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education and military. 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA and/or software development, with a strong focus on quality and user experience. 3+ years of experience programming or scripting in languages such as Java, TypeScript, or Python, especially for test automation. Exposure to QA automation methodologies and tools - Appium, Espresso and UI Automator.Proficiency in Java and experience with test automation tools. Solid experience testing REST APIs, using tools like Postman to validate functionality and ensure data accuracy. Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write complex queries to validate data and support backend testing. Familiarity with test case management and defect tracking systems like JIRA, Confluence, ALM, or MTM to document, track, and resolve issues effectively. Experience testing all layers of modern applications, including front-end, APIs, and back-end services, ensuring full coverage and quality across the stack.Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and communication skills, you’re confident in explaining issues and ideas clearly to technical and non-technical teammates.What would be great to have:

Salary Range
$83,400.00 - $143,000.00These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
