The Scrum Master is a facilitator and coach who guides a team using the Scrum framework to deliver high-quality work. They are not a traditional project manager, but rather a servant leader who removes obstacles, fosters communication, and helps the team become self-organizing and highly productive. This position is located in our Arlington, VA office; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. **Your future duties and responsibilities:** Your future duties and responsibilities: • Facilitating Scrum Events: The Scrum Master leads and facilitates scrum events like daily scrums, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. • Removing Impediments: They identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team's progress, ensuring a smooth workflow. • Coaching and Mentoring: The Scrum Master coaches the team on Scrum principles, practices, and values, helping them improve their processes and become more effective. • Promoting Agile Principles: They champion Agile methodologies, ensuring the team understands and adheres to Agile values, principles, and practices. • Fostering Collaboration: The Scrum Master encourages communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders. • Protecting the Team: They shield the team from external distractions and interruptions, allowing them to focus on their work. • Monitoring Progress: The Scrum Master tracks progress, identifies risks, and helps the team mitigate potential problems. • Ensuring Transparency: They promote transparency by facilitating communication and ensuring the team has the information they need to be successful. • Coaching the Product Owner: The Scrum Master helps the Product Owner prioritize the backlog and ensure the team has a clear understanding of the product vision. **Required qualifications to be successful in this role:** Required qualifications to be successful in this role: • Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 5 to 8 years of experience • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI with Poly; active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired. • Deep understanding of Agile and SAFe: need a strong understanding of Agile methodologies. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: They must be able to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders and build strong relationships. • Strong facilitation and coaching skills: RTEs need to be able to facilitate meetings, coach teams, and mentor individuals. • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills: They need to be able to identify and resolve impediments and conflicts • Experience with Agile tools: They should be familiar with Agile tools like Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps. • Leadership and servant leadership skills: need to be able to lead and motivate teams while also serving their needs. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $214,800.00.
