Senior Scrum Master
We are looking for a seasoned **Senior IT Scrum Lead** to guide our Agile teams in delivering high-impact IT projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Agile methodologies, a deep understanding of IT systems, and a proven ability to lead and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment. **Position Responsibilities:** + Supports 2-3 teams on 2 backlogs. (AMS and PSS Teams) + Experience being on multiple Scrum teams in a variety of different contexts (different team sizes, different projects, different cultures, co-located vs. distributed, etc). + Conducts Agile Events, including sprint planning, daily stand ups, sprint reviews and retrospectives + Educates the squads on the adoption of Agile practices and identifies Agile Team improvement opportunities. + Focuses squads on value creation + Identifies obstacles to team/s performance; facilitates resolution and escalates where necessary + Actively participates in sprints and partners with Product Owners to enable the delivery of prioritized features/tasks + Reinforces target agile behaviors + Acts as a servant leader to the team (not the ‘boss’) + Proactively provides real-time feedback to keep delivery on track and address issues as they arise **Member of MITDC's LACE team** + Represents Manulife values without fail + Deliver capabilities using Agile practices while also following the Software Development Lifecycle, business process mapping, and various release processes as appropriate to minimize risk and foster innovation within the organization + Provides direction/mentorship to Scrum Masters + Coaches different levels of hierarchy through agile principles & practices + Facilitates and actively participates in Agile events, CoP's, workshops and townhalls + Collaborates with software engineers, platform engineers, Product Owners, and engineering leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate a successful value delivery **Within the Agile Release Train** + Reports to the Release Train Engineer (RTE) and actively participate in ARTS Syncs + Fulfill the responsibilities as a SAFe Scrum Master such as Improving ART Performance, Facilitate PI planning, Building High Performing Team, Supporting Iteration Execution and Improving Flow **Required Qualifications:** + At least 5-10 years with experience as a Scrum Master delivering complex technology solutions with a University Degree or College diploma + Strong working knowledge of key aspects of role + Staying abreast of developments in own technical discipline and able to recognize and translate these to own working env't + Possesses analytical skills and appreciates complex situations but only able to achieve partial resolution + Any of the following will be an advantage: + SAFe Certifications (Leading SAFe, SAFe for SM) + Scrum Master Certification + Insurance Industry experience + ITIL Certification + Working knowledge of business intelligence, business process, and/or correspondence management platforms and integrating systems via API/web services. + Knowledge of Agile planning and tracking tools + Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes **_When you join our team:_** + We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want. + We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words. + As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see. **Acerca de Manulife y John Hancock** Manulife Financial Corporation es un importante proveedor internacional de servicios financieros que ayuda a las personas a tomar decisiones de una manera más fácil y a vivir mejor.
