This candidate will have an established track record using bioanalytical instrumentations primarily on proteomics and/or imaging mass spectrometry, with strong experience handling various cell and tissues samples. **You will be responsible for** **:** + Thoughtfully implement various arts of mass spectrometry (e.g., applying imaging, TOF, Orbitrap etc in both global and targeted acquisition modes) to support projects of multiple drug modalities such as small molecules, siRNA, PROTAC, Bispecific antibody, and CAR T-cell therapy. + De novo methodology design and productive implementation, for studies using mass spectrometry, to ensure timely delivery. + Initiate and perform hypothesis-driven investigation into mechanisms of toxicities. + Work closely and be an avid contributor within the multi-disciplinary Translational Safety team to leverage expertise in cell & molecular biology, computational chemistry and biology. + Be part of the evidence generation group by working closely with pathologists, toxicologists, DMPK and in vivo scientists to aid regulatory submissions and mitigate toxicology findings. + Communicate study results and provide guidance to stakeholders in applying those results toward strategic decisions. **Qualifications / Requirements:** **Education:** + Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required + Advanced degree (Master's, PhD) in biochemistry, analytical chemistry or a related field is highly preferred **Required:** + Minimum 4-6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry/academia setting + Able to independently design and perform proteomic approaches across different experiment types (global proteomic profiling, PTM, targeted and affinity MS analysis) using a variety of sample sources. + Experience with several MS acquisition modes (e.g., DDA, DIA, PRM, MRM) and proteomic software. + A track record of de novo mass spectrometry methodology design for both small and large molecules in complex biological samples. + Proven record of scientific curiosity, creative thinking and a deep understanding of biology. + Strong self-motivation and drive to make impactful contributions. + Excellent analytical, communication and collaboration skills. + Travel up to 10%, defined by business needs **Preferred:** + Demonstrated project team experience at a pharmaceutical company and ability to work effectively in a matrix, global environment as part of a multidisciplinary team. + Ability to leverage large omics data sets + First-hand experience with cell cultures (e.g., organoid & iPSC) + Imaging mass spectrometry experiences + Maintaining and troubleshooting nano/micro-flow liquid chromatography systems + Broad toxicology and pre-clinical safety expertise. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year.
