In this strategic role, you will contribute to the discovery and development of novel fragrance ingredients, leveraging your deep chemical expertise and data-driven insights to explore the vast olfactive chemical space. You will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment alongside top-tier scientists, driving innovation through advanced chemical technologies and methodologies. Your work will directly support the creation of next-generation, sustainable ingredients that shape the future of beauty and fragrance. **Key Responsibilities:** + **Lead Discovery Efforts** : Identify, design, and deliver novel, sustainable molecules for use in perfumery and beauty applications as part of a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with data scientists. + **Project Leadership** : Manage and execute innovation projects aligned with strategic business goals, ensuring timely and impactful outcomes. + **Accelerate Innovation** : Guide the development of strategies and AI tools to enhance the speed and efficiency of Design-Make-Test-Analyze (DMTA) cycles by leveraging automation. + **Foster Collaboration** : Build and nurture internal and external partnerships to strengthen scientific collaboration and innovation pipelines. + **Team Development** : Supervise and mentor a team of laboratory technicians, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous learning. + **Scientific Excellence** : Stay at the forefront of scientific advancements through literature review, seminars, and conferences. + **Communication & Reporting** : Prepare and present scientific reports, ensuring clear communication of technical results to stakeholders and at internal R&D meetings. **We bring:** + Being part of an interdisciplinary Science & Research team of industry-leading researchers with a state-of-the-art equipped research facility + Work at the forefront of new technology implementation towards the discovery of new ingredients for Perfumery & Beauty. + Work in continuous dialogue with colleagues in perfumery and process chemistry. + Become part of a diverse and highly innovative and international Science & Research team. + The opportunity to work for a highly social company where sustainability is much more than a claim and is core to our strategy and purpose. **You Bring:** + A PhD in Chemistry, with a strong foundation in organic chemistry and practical experience in integrating data science with a proven record of leveraging AI/ML in chemical research. + 5-10 years of industrial experience in organic chemistry, preferably within the fragrance, specialty chemicals or pharmaceutical sectors. + Proven track record in new molecule discovery and innovation, with experience leading or contributing to successful R&D projects. + Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor teams, while also contributing effectively as a collaborative team member. + A deep passion for scientific innovation, with a proactive mindset and enthusiasm for exploring novel technologies and methodologies, with a focal point on automation. + Curious, open-minded, and highly self-motivated, with strong analytical thinking and excellent communication skills. + Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is a plus. **The application process:** Interested in this position?
