Senior SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Consultant will play a key role in working on major projects that may span a broad range of systems, providing subject matter expertise and technical direction; working closely with business users, BAs, PMs and IT team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis, design and development of quality technical solutions that are aligned with the business and IT strategies, and are in compliance with the organization’s architectural standards; and application analysis, design, development, integration, and enhancement, and also involved in complex support issues.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Lead pre-sales activities with potential clients including responses to RFP/RFI, supporting client presentations and leading discussions with executives
• Work on business development activities including presenting at events, conferences
• Working with key business partners to define GTM plans and support architectural activities
• Accountable of critical issues escalated to level 3. Ensure that tickets are properly responded to, fixed, tested and follows-up those until they are properly closed according to process defined.
• Liaise with Global Data Excellence and Business Process Leaders organization regarding problem solving and enhancement.
• Contribute, review and validate Core bugs & enhancements specification. Contribute to testing and validation.
• Support deployments (scoping, design, localization, testing, GoLive, transition to AMS).
• SAP and bridge functional knowledge on his/her area.
• Ownership and accountability for issue identification and resolution, risk logging, progress reporting and progression through to resolution.
• Customer centric and capacity to deliver high level of service.
Technical Competencies
• Design, customize, configure and testing of SAP SD module and integration knowledge of other SAP ECC and S/4HANA modules with SD.
• Document functional designs, test cases and results.
• Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs. Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP SD, Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions. Provide consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projects Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team. Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members.
Functional competencies
• Functional specification authoring (Reports, Conversions, Enhancements, Interfaces and Workflows)
• Testing of custom enhancements
• Writing Business Process Documents
• Sound Knowledge of Standard MS Office products like Visio, PowerPoint, Excel and Word
• Experience in end-to-end implementation is added advantage.
• Understand, Debugging skills of ABAP code.
• Knowledge on functional integration point of view in SD/MM/FICO modules
• Graduate in a Business or IT related discipline
• Minimum Overall business experience required is 8 – 10 years, preferably in the Manufacturing industry
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in SAP Sales And Distribution
• Minimum 2 full life cycle SAP implementation projects experience
• Minimum years of experience working on pre-sales related activities for transformation initiatives
