About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Salesforce Engineer with strong experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud to join our growing development team. This role is critical in leading the implementation of our new Salesforce Marketing Cloud instance and supporting ongoing development within our Sales Cloud platform. The ideal candidate will be passionate about driving customer engagement, improving marketing workflows, and enhancing sales operations. You’ll work across teams to deliver scalable solutions that support our marketing initiatives (Pardot, Preference Center, Campaigns, Leads) and sales strategies (Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts, Case Management, etc.).
Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and configuration of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Preference Center.
Support development across Sales Cloud, including Pardot, Preference Center, Campaigns, Leads, Opportunities, Accounts, Contacts, Cases, and Activities.
Build and maintain Apex code, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and integrations with external systems.
Improve marketing workflows related to Pardot, Campaigns, Lead Management, and customer data quality.
Assist with legacy system migrations and refactoring older Salesforce components.
Manage development tasks and deployments using Copado CI/CD and Azure DevOps.
Apply best practices for metadata management, sandbox strategy, and Copado Robotic Testing.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across clouds.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
Requirements:
Extensive years of Salesforce development experience (Sales and/or Marketing Cloud).
Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud (AMPscript, SQL, APIs) and Pardot.
Strong knowledge of Sales Cloud core objects and automation tools (Flows, Process Builder, Validation Rules).
Experience with Copado (deployments, Git branching, Robotic Testing).
Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar Agile tools.
Proficient in Apex, SOQL, LWC, and integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs).
Experience with data quality, preference centers, and campaign management.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Sales Cloud Consultant
Copado Fundamentals I & II or Copado Developer/Consultant
Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques.
Strong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles.
Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
Expertise in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, UNIX, and .Net.
Strong research skills.
Strong knowledge of industry and best practices in development.
Knowledge of using and developing applicable tool sets.
Ability to interface competently with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.
Knowledge of test-driven development.
Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
Ability to complete complex bug fixes.
